A LEGO's Life for Me
Dead men tell no tales… but Disney is no dead duck and has another one to tell. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of the film series, will be out in May, and with it we will see a release of a new LEGO game. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game, developed by Traveller’s Tales, will be released to coincide with the film, and for any LEGO or Pirates fan, it’s looking great.

- LEGO Jack! -
The LEGO games have always offered an incredible amount of fun, casual, co-op gaming, and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean will be much the same – wordless, humorous cutscenes, fast action, and the greatest scenes from the movies reimagined LEGO-style. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will enable us to play through all four of the Pirates movies, and so far, seeing the scenes from the films unfold with the same attitude Traveller’s Tales gave us in the other LEGO games, such as LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones, has been great. Captain Jack, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swan, and a ton of other characters will be playable, and knowing LEGO games, there will be lots of content to unlock. Of course, the gameplay won’t deviate much from previous LEGO games, but any fan of the formula, or POTC, will absolutely adore this addition to the lineup.
In story mode, as Captain Jack, you will build your crew while also adventuring through the plotline of all four films. Of course, LEGO titles have always been the best at getting your non-gaming family member or loved one into playing a game thanks to the simple yet crazy fun these games offer. LEGO Pirates will offer the same type of co-op mode as previous LEGO games, and it will give you an AI-controlled character if you choose to go at it alone.
The graphics and music, with their wonderful LEGO style, bring the films to life. You will hear the classic Pirates theme and music here, and the miniature figures of the characters are absolutely charming. The animations are wonderful and humorous, and the lighting and design are fitting for such a vast adventure that will take you across the seas, from the Caribbean to Singapore, to all the magical and exotic places we’ve seen in the movies.

- Always a big adventure -
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will be released for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, DS, 3DS, and Wii – however, there will be very minimal differences between these games, except that the 3DS version will offer a StreetPass feature where you will be able to duel other players. Unfortunately, the portable versions will also lack co-op play.
