Gamescom 2011: BioWare developing free-to-play Warhammer Online

NEWS | ? Comments |

Author: GD Staff

Electronic Arts and Games Workshop announced that BioWare is currently working on a new entry in the video game side of Warhammer.

Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes announced with video and screenshots (PC, Windows, Mac)

Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes is a free-to-play, player-vs-player action game with RPG-like hero levelling that features 18-player arena battles. Players can choose from a host of heroes, each with their own strengths "tailored to different PVP playstyles." More than one hero will be used by participants, as players "swap through their arsenal of heroes on the fly, creating a unique, dynamic gameplay experience."

Wrath of Heroes supports jump-in / jump-out play so you can play on your boss' dime without fear of getting caught... I mean, so you can play on your lunch break without worrying about getting bogged down in a raid.

The game is set to launch in fall 2011, though interested gamers can head over to the official page (via the source link below) to sign up for a chance at closed beta access.
