Ezio confirmed for SoulCalibur V (PS3, Xbox 360)

UPDATE:

We've included the official press release below the video. In it, we learn about Ezio's inclusion, as well as the announcement of the Collector’s Edition which includes "a music CD, making-of video content, hardcover art book and the Dark Knight and White Knight downloadable armor sets for Character Creation Mode".

ORIGINAL STORY:

Today, Project Soul and Namco Bandai, in association with Ubisoft, announced that Ezio Auditore da Firenze, from Assassin's Creed fame, will in fact make a guest appearance as a playable fighter in SoulCalibur V.

Other details are unknown at this time, though the embedded video below does a good job of giving us an idea of how Ezio will play. We are impressed by the fluidity of motion and the way Project Soul has captured the fighting style of Ezio. Of course, the team responsible for the SoulCalibur franchise has been doing  exactly that with utter precision for years now, so it's not surprising.
