Those of you wanting to game on the PS3 or PSP tomorrow (Nov. 16, 2011) might have to wait a while. The PlayStation Network is going down for routine scheduled maintenance from 8 AM-10 PM PST. During this time, Sony has notified its users worldwide that they'll be unable to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Network Account Management, and PlayStation Network Account Registration. Users will also be unable to sign in to the PS Network from the PlayStation Website.

Curiously, it looks as though some users will still be able to play online - though Sony is not really clear on who will and will not be able to access online features of the system.

As far as trophies and the like are concerned, players shouldn't be worried. In-game trophies will still be collectable, and they will be updated on everyone's online profiles once the maintenance is over and PSN is back up. Anyone who wants to know a bit more can keep an eye on the PlayStation Twitter Feed.
