It's a sad and horrible thing when a game-crippling glitch is found in an awesome game, but that is what has been happening lately to players of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. For those who don't already know, the glitch mentioned occurs when players go about the Song of the Hero quest in a certain order which locks off the rest of the quest, therefore locking off the rest of the game.
But hope is now on the horizon, for Nintendo has recently announced the existence of a new Wii channel, the 'The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Save Data Update Channel' (or the less wordy Zelda Data Restoration Channel in Japan), which will address the issue and fix the save files affected by the glitch, allowing players to continue where they left off. This strategy might sound a tad unorthodox, compared to the patches that PC, Xbox, and PS3 games use to fix their problems. But hey, as long as it gets the job done, then who's to complain?
If you are suffering thanks to the glitch, then head on over to Nintendo's support page, for information on how to get the TLOZSSSDU Channel (sorry, folks, it was just too big a mouthful to repeat), as well as the steps necessary to avoid the glitch in the first place.
Stay golden, Triforce fans.
