At long last! Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 has been confirmed and slated for 2012 release

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 confirmed by SEGA
Yes... those are Tails-shaped muttonchops!

The wait is over… kind of.

For some, it was beginning to seem like the much-hoped-for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 would never become a reality. But now, Sonic fans can rest easy at last, thanks to the revelation from a man with the most tricked-out sideburns you will probably ever see.

The above-mentioned revelation comes courtesy of an interview from Gamespot.com with Ken Balough, digital brand manager for SEGA. To sum up: Episode 2 is happening, it will release next year, and Tails and Metal Sonic will be showing up this time (cue optional tears of joy, Sonic geeks).

I have added the interview at the bottom of the page (aren’t I nice?) so that you can watch the teaser trailer for Episode 2, learn as much as you can about the game… and behold the fury of Balough’s sideburns.
