If word is to be believed, then it is highly possible for Apple's next iPad to go on sale in March. According to three sources who are familiar with the product, the iPad 3 will come with a high-definition screen, a faster processor, and the ability to work with next-gen wireless networks.

This month, according to a Bloomberg report, production of the iPad 3 has been started by the company's manufacturing partners in Asia, and these factories plan to reach full volume by next month, said one of the unnamed sources.

According to two others cited in the article, the new tablet will sport a quad-core chip, which should let users "jump more quickly between applications", not to mention allow for greater gaming capability. Apple is also, reportedly, bringing LTE compatibility to the device, choosing to bring it to the iPad before the iPhone since the tablet has a bigger battery that can better support the new technology. Add to all this a new display that, according to one person, can produce more pixels than some HD televisions, and with more graphics processing power than before, videos can start playing almost instantly.

It is the hope of Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook that the new iPad can reassert its dominance in the market that it pioneered back in 2010. And, if what these people say about the iPad 3 is true, then it could very well do just that.

Apple has yet to make a statement on this. Natalie Kerris, a spokeswoman for the company, said it does not comment on rumor and speculation. So while that may mean that Apple doesn't wish to confirm anything yet, if the iPad 3 is coming early, then we should hear something official soon.
