First in-game screenshots and more details for The Last of Us emerge
Like the title of this article declares, the first in-game screenshots for Naughty Dog's latest have indeed been revealed, along with some new information about the gameplay.
The news comes courtesy of GameInformer, who were able to get an exclusive first look at the screenshots, as well as learn some neat details about the combat and setting in the game. From what they say, The Last of Us will be set, at least partially, in Pittsburgh and will involve gunplay and melee combat. Weapons can break after repeated use, forcing players to search for new ones.
Also noted by the developers was the fact that players won't be in control of Ellie, the girl from the game's trailer. However, the game will not simply be "one long escort mission." GameInformer went on to say that "her AI is one of the team's primary areas of focus. In our demo she always managed to keep up, yet stay out of the way. She didn't seem to need any babysitting at all."
Be sure to check out GameInformer's website regularly, as they'll be covering The Last of Us all throughout the month. We've posted two of the screenshots here, but you should follow the source link below to see the rest in the original article.
