Does Darkstalkers live again? Trademark filing by Capcom discovered

Darkstalkers (Capcom)

Now that Street Fighter X Tekken is almost complete, Capcom must be making plans for its next project. And if the signs are to be believed, then there is a good chance that that project could be the long-awaited continuation of the Darkstalkers franchise.

Siliconera was the first to report on this nifty piece of information: a trademark filed yesterday by Capcom Japan, under the name "Darkstalkers". Have a look.

Darkstalkers tradmark filing

This not the first time in recent months that hints at the series' revival appeared.  At San Diego Comic-Con last July, Capcom's Yoshinori Ono teased fans, saying "Darkstalkers are not dead."

Does the thought of the series returning excite you? Frankly, I don't care much either way, since I've never played Darkstalkers. However, if your feelings contradict my indifference, then be sure to comment about it in the box below.
