Journey will kick off the Spring Fever promotion on the PlayStation Store this March
If you've been constantly checking for news of thatgamecompany's latest, Journey, then you'll probably know by now that the game is finally complete and nearing release.
But how close is the release? The answer comes courtesy of Jenova Chen, Creative Director at thatgamecompany. On the PlayStation Blog, Chen revealed that Journey will be available on March 13, for the price of $14.99. The game's launch will kick off the PlayStation Store's Spring Fever event, in a fashion similar to thatgamecompany's last game, Flower, which launched during the event in 2009.
"With each game we create, we want to bring something truly unique and authentic to the user. We want our players to experience something they have never felt before," said Chen. "Our first game for PSN was flOw in 2007, a meditative zen video game haiku. We followed that in 2009 with Flower, our video game version of a poem about the tension between urban bustle and natural serenity. Journey, our third game, is an interactive parable, an anonymous online adventure to experience a person's life passage and their intersections with other's."
Keep an eye on the PS Blog for more info on Journey and the Spring Fever event in the coming weeks.
