You know you've got a great game in the works when a Kickstarter campaign that you originally hoped to help raise $400,000 ends up bringing in nearly $2 million in just a few days... and the number keeps going up. Such is Tim Schafer's latest project; a "classic point-and-click adventure."

Today, Tim gave us the first details about the project, currently dubbed Double Fine Adventure.
First up, the game will launch on PC, Mac, and Linux, as well as iOS and select Android devices (Schafer wasn't certain which ones the game would be available on, but his studio's likely going to focus on the more popular models such as the Samsung Galaxy S II).
Because of the incredible amount of funding received, the game will be fully voiced in English, though it seems as though the other versions will be text only. Still, Schafer plans to translate the game into French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
Finally, backers of the project are receiving even more goodies, as they'll have access to a closed beta of the game over Steam, and a DRM-free version of the game once it releases. That's all for now, but Schafer promised he'd have more info for everybody in the very near future.
