Street Fighter producer, Yoshinori Ono, temporarily leaves game development for health concerns
Bad news, everyone.
According to several tweets of his, Street Fighter IV's producer is going to be leaving the team for a while, citing health reasons.
"I'll refrain from work for current job for a while," he writes. "Another person in charge of SF series for a while. Of course, I'll constant support for it...physical health is of paramount importance. Let's try to improve healthcare :D."
Don't worry, though. While he might be gone for a stint, he's most definitely planning on coming back. "I'll be out of the limelight as fighting game series for a while. I'll think about the new series of fighting games after this ;D."
Ono, a producer of several popular gaming series, is most noteworthy for his work on the original Street Fighter, and he's worked on the series ever since. This announcement comes on the heels of Ono's recent hospital stay, after he collapsed at a Street Fighter X Tekken event in Asia.
