Yesterday, Nielsen released a list of the games releasing later this year that gamers are most anticipating. Nielsen was able to measure the level of anticipation from gamers by taking into account eight key consumer metrics, such as "Awareness" and "Purchase Interest". These were then combined into one easily digestible score.

Assassin's Creed III is one of gamers' most anticipated video games of 2012

Here are the most highly anticipated console games of 2012, with release dates and Nielsen scores included. It looks like Assassin's Creed III will be a huge hit for Ubisoft.

Few surprises here.  These lists sync well with other Most Anticipated Games of 2012 articles from GameDynamo and other websites throughout the Gamersphere. The only thing that did surprise me somewhat was the relatively low level of anticipation for Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story, two games that Wii gamers were clamoring for until just a few months ago.

Do agree with lists, and are you anticipating these games as well?
