First details for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 emerge thanks to CoroCoro reveal
Back in February, it was revealed that Pokémon Black and White would be getting sequels. And now we have our first look at the game via these scans taken from Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro (kudos to Serrebii.net for the find).
These images reveal some interesting bits of information about Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. First off, the games will be set 2 years after Black 1 and White 1 and will take place in Unova, the region from the first games. Despite this, there will be new areas to explore (such as the games' new starting point, a place called Hiougi City) and many of the first games' areas have been updated. It also appears that at least part of the region will be frozen (which could be the doing of legendary ice Pokémon Kyurem).
There will also be new gym leaders to face, such as one whose specialty is Poison and another whose specialty is Water. Black 2 and White 2 will also come with a new rival (he's the spiky-haired trainer in the picture below).
In addition, the scans reveal that the Unova Pokédex in the sequels has 300 Pokémon in it, as opposed to the 155 that could be found in the first games. Pokémon from previous generations will be popping up, Pokémon such as Psyduck, Riolu, Metagross, Tyranitar, Lapras, and Arcanine. Furthermore, it was also revealed that Black Kyurem will know the move Freeze Shock, while White Kyrem will know Ice burn.
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 will hit store shelves in Japan in June. Stay tuned to GameDynamo until then as more news surfaces in the coming weeks.
