PlayStation Network maintenance on April 16th; PSN will be down for around 13 hours

This comes as no surprise, that's for sure. The "Sony gods" are hard at work again with one of the routine scheduled maintenance sessions on PSN, so gamers won't have access to any of Sony's online PSN services for several hours.

PlayStation Network maintenance on April 16th; PSN will be down for around 13 hours

Matthew Harper, a member of the recently created PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Management team, posted the news on the PlayStation Blog, stating the following:

"we will be performing routine scheduled maintenance on the network on Monday, April 16th, starting at approximately 6:00 am PDT / 9:00 am EDT. This maintenance will last roughly 13 hours, concluding around 7:00pm PDT / 10:00 pm EDT. During much of this time, users won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online. PSN enabled websites will not be able to service users, including this one."

If you wanted to hop online and play that COD rematch with your pals in the next few hours, you're out of luck. Sigh...

The easiest way to find out when the PSN services are back up is to follow PlayStation's Twitter, as they'll update gamers as soon as it's ready.
