Telltale's The Walking Dead beheads its way to PS3, PC, and Mac April 24th; coming to Xbox 360 the 25th
Season 2 of the TV show may have just ended, but the zombie drama continues as Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Game adaption shambles to release tomorrow on PS3, Mac, and PC, while Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until Wednesday, April 25.
The episode releasing this week, "A New Day", is the first in a series of 5 chapters, which collectively make up a season according to Telltale.
Following a new protagonist, Lee Everett, The Walking Dead is set in the same universe as the popular graphic novel. A convicted murderer in the pre-zombie world, Everett is given a chance at redeeming himself when he meets a child abandoned by her parents. Using Telltale's critically acclaimed adventure gameplay to create a zombie game unlike any other on the market today, The Walking Dead will carry the series' trademark horror and characterization to a new medium.
In addition to its general release tomorrow, pre-ordering the entire season of the game on PC or Mac enters players in a drawing to become a character in the game. Pre-ordering grants a discount on the entire series of games ($22.49 on PC / Mac and $19.99 on PS3) and a free dynamic theme if purchased on PS3.
Throughout the season there will be a videocast, titled "Playing Dead", that covers the development process that went on through the creation of the game. We've posted a number of them already in our The Walking Dead video section.
