New subscription tiers for PlayStation Plus might be on the way
Anybody in here a PlayStation Plus subscriber? If so, I may have some bad news for you. See, according to Destructoid's Jim Sterling and IGN's Greg Miller, Sony may well be toying with the idea of adding a tiered pricing structure to the PS3's online network. How do we know this?

Well, as it turns out, Sony's been asking some pretty interesting questions.
The organization's been sending emails out to consumers asking them how much they'd be willing to pay for a service that includes both Call of Duty: Elite along with a collection of free Blu-ray games. They also mention several other subscription plans, asking their customers what they think about each one. Benefits include frequent service updates, high-quality games, and purchase discounts.
In other words, some of the tiered subscriptions might not actually be a bad deal. In any case, so long as the basic service remains free and Sony doesn't start cutting off people who don't subscribe, there shouldn't be any problem, right?
