Soul Sacrifice is Keiji Inafune's PS Vita RPG of gruesome magic; screenshots and concept art inside

NEWS | ? Comments |

Author: Peter Grimm has released a huge number of screenshots and artwork has appeared for the PS Vita game Soul Sacrifice, a part of which can be seen below.

Also, details regarding the game have recently come to light. For starters, the game is the newest project from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. You take on the role of a slave imprisoned to a cruel sorcerer. When a strange book (actually a demon grimoire called the Golam Book) appears, it allows you to literally experience its contents, which tell of past conflicts between sorcerers and monsters... So it's kind of like Assassin's Creed, but, you know, with sorcerers and monsters.

These past battles are what make up Soul Sacrifice's gameplay. As you quest, the sorcerer you play as in the past has to make payments in order to use magic (not even magic is free these days. How sad). You can pay for some magic with things like trees and rocks. Or, if you want to get your greedy hands on more powerful spells, you can even use parts of your body as payment. Overdoing this naturally results in you losing your human form over time.

Below, you will see a small sampling of the artwork and screenshots released. The rest, you can find on

Wait a minute… is that… a picture of a guy pulling his spine out his mouth?!
