Square Enix and GameStop have announced the existence of Hitman: Sniper Challenge, an exclusive pre-order bonus for those who reserve Hitman: Absolution at GameStop.

Available on all systems the title is releasing on (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), Hitman: Sniper Challenge is a stand-alone experience that compliments Hitman: Absolution as players control Agent 47 during an assignment to take out Richard Strong Jr and his bodyguards. The title encourages exploration and experimentation, with plenty of secrets and upgrades that can be carried over to Absolution.

Sniper Challenge will have an online leaderboard, where top players will receive monthly prizes, and the top player in North America at the time of the Absolution's November 20th launch will win a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark to meet the Hitman development team and have their likeness incorporated in the next Hitman game.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge will be available through pre-order of Hitman: Absolution exclusively through GameStop starting May 15th for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3; however, the PC version will release on August 1st.
