Major price cut inbound for Nintendo's portable game consoles

According to a Nintendo press release, come May 20, the DSi and DSi XL will be getting their prices slashed, at least in North America. The former will be dropping down to $99.99, with the latter retailing for a tidy $129.99. The original price tag on these two consoles was around $169.99 for the XL, and $149.99 for the standard DSi, meaning that the price drop comes out to around $50.00. Not too shabby, if you ask me.

The press release goes on to describe the two consoles - what they do, their impressive library of games, their extra features... and suggests that they might make ideal graduation gifts or Father’s Day presents. But you know all that!
