Prince of Persia Trilogy and Original Splinter Cell Titles to PS3 in HD

Ubisoft gave us a heaping helping of bad news this morning, but they also let us know that the Prince of Persia Sands of Time Trilogy will be making its way to PS3 on a Blu-ray disc in Europe, while each of the games will be available separately via digital download through PlayStation Network in the U.S.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within have all been remastered in HD. This compilation will launch in Europe in just a few days, and it will be compatible with full stereoscopic 3D. In the U.S., the games will be available before the Holidays.

Ubisoft also confirmed that the HD treatment is being applied to the first three Splinter Cell titles as well, though which systems will get them, when they're releasing, and how they will be bundled are still unknown.
