The next Gears of War has been outed through pre-E3 tease
The next Gears of War game has been revealed. However, it's more of a tease, really.
The tease in question comes courtesy of Game Informer, who revealed the cover for the July issue of their magazine. The cover depicts someone being led off in chains, while the buildings in the background burn.
Since the person is blacked-out (save for the chains), it's hard to say who it is, exactly. Is it Marcus Fenix? If so, it's possible, this game may in fact be a prequel, showing the events that led up to Marcus being thrown in the jail we find him in at the beginning of the first Gears of War. And judging from the flying creatures in the background, it looks like the Locust will be returning too.
Ah, so much to speculate about. Luckily, we won't have to speculate much longer, as Game Informer says they will unveil the full, un-blacked-out cover, as well as the title for the new game on Monday, during Microsoft's E3 press conference. On that day, a teaser trailer will also be released.
Does the thought of more Gears of War excite you?
