Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida confirms release date for The Last of Us
Depending on your perspective, this news is either good or bad. One the one hand, we finally have a solid release date in mind for The Last of Us. On the other hand, it’s not going to be hitting store shelves until 2013. We won’t be seeing God of War: Ascension until at least that time, as well.
While in an interview with VG247, Sony Worldwide Studios CEO Shuhei Yoshida had the following to say:
“We are not ready to talk about 2013. But some of the games we showed like God of War and the Last of Us are not coming out this year.”

Couple that with Game Informer’s report that The Last of Us will be shipping in either late 2012 or early 2013, and the release date pretty much seems like a done deal, doesn’t it?
