Update 1.6 brings mounted combat to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Think killing things from a speeding mount is the epitome of being awesome? Now you can do just that as you make your way through the vast land of Skyrim.
Today, Bethesda Softworks revealed that the newest DLC update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (update 1.6) is now live, bringing with it a number of bug fixes, and one of the most highly fan-requested features: mounted combat. Now you can slay monsters on the go, all from the comfort of your mighty steed.

"Like the recently added Kinect support (360) and new kill cameras, this highly-requested feature that was seen in the Skyrim Game Jam video is arriving for free. In fact, by opting into the latest Steam Beta Update, PC users can check out the feature today," Bethesda said on its blog (since then, the 1.6 update has become available for download on the Xbox 360).
"Thanks again to all our fans, we remain committed to supporting the game through our free updates, mod tools, and more. And yes, we're still working on our first add-on, Dawnguard – some great stuff to show you soon, stay tuned!"
