Top 5 Most Disappointing Video Games... of All Time? (videos included!)

TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled

The old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time was one of the best games ever released on the Super NES. With vibrant graphics, fun gameplay, and a great soundtrack, it's no wonder this it's still remembered so fondly in everybody's hearts, mine included. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was one of my favorite shows growing up, and Turtles in Time was one of my favorite games: though I played the arcade version, rather than the SNES version.

TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled was slated to be a great success; after all, revamps of popular series, if done right, tend to be akin to a license to print money. Unfortunately, the developer, Ubisoft, did almost nothing to improve gameplay over the original, and in some cases, made things worse. The charming music? Changed. Vibrant visuals? Mudy, cel-shaded graphics. The control scheme? Unchanged, and somehow it was made more frustrating. Fans essentially paid ten dollars for uglier graphics and little else.

It's not necessarily the biggest disappointment on the list, but it's definitely a considerable letdown, all the same.
