Rumor: Rocksteady's next Batman title hearkens back to the Silver Age of the Caped Crusader

NEWS | ? Comments |

Author: Nicholas Greene

According to a rumor published by Variety, the upcoming sequel to Batman: Arkham City might take a step backward… but not in the way you might think. If the rumor is to be believed, the sequel will actually end up being a prequel. Set in the Silver Age, it'll focus on Batman's first encounter with The Joker.

Next Batman Arkham video game will be set in the Silver Age (Rocksteady, Warner Bros., DC)

Of course, this is definitely a rumor that should be taken with a grain of salt, considering Variety doesn't even list a specific source for their story, instead making reference to several DC Comics video games that have taken a similar approach. We know little else about the title, but it's safe to assume that it'll have a markedly different tone from previous entries in the series.

Y'know, Silver Age and all.
