Wallet be damned! The Steam Summer Sale has started

The title says it all. If you are a PC gamer, or if you happen to know someone who's got a gaming rig you can mooch off from for several hours this summer, it's time to spend some cash. Yes, the Steam Summer Sale is officially underway and it's a doozy.

Running from today, July 12 to Sunday, July 22, new deals will be featured daily, letting you get your hands on top titles for a fraction of the cost. Some highlights from today's discounted games, at least for me, include Portal 2 for $4.99, Total War: Shogun 2 for $7.49, and Indie Bundle I for $9.99.

In addition to individual games, select publisher bundles are also available at great big savings. Take, for example, the Ubisoft bundle, which marries 8 top titles together for $49.99 (Assassin's Creed Revelations, Beyond Good and Evil, Driver San Francisco, From Dust, Might & Magic Heroes VI, R.U.S.E., Rayman Origins, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction).

Not a fan of Ubi? How about THQ? Steam has the publisher's heaviest hitters, 15 titles in all, for just $49.99 (including four Warhammer 40K titles, Saints Row: The Third, Metro: 2033, Company of Heroes, Darksiders, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Homefront... the list goes on).

There is a metric poop ton of great deals going on right now. Head over to Steam and have a gander for yourself through the source link below.
