Assassin's Creed III for PC delayed; first multiplayer screenshots and Boston walkthrough trailer inside
Here's a picture I imagine gamers everywhere have in their minds of October 30, 2012: a trip to a retail center, a box in one's hands, the box opened, a disc reading Assassin's Creed III (glorious fanfare), the disc being inserted into a console or PC, Redcoats dying soon after.
However, today's news (straight from the Mecca of the geek universe, San Diego Comic Con) brings a slight adjustment to that picture that might not please some. The news being that the PC version of Assassin's Creed III has been… well… delayed.
So yeah, PC gamers won't be able to parkour through the trees of New England on October 30. Luckily, the wait won't be too long, as revealed by Ubisoft Creative Lead Alex Hutchinson, who, during a panel at Comic Con, said that the PC version will be released before Christmas, "near the console launch."
This bit of a bummer news wasn't the only Assassin's Creed news dropped at Comic Con, thankfully. Also revealed was the release of a new walkthrough demo that will take gamers on a tour through the colonial Boston of AC III, featuring narration by Hutchinson himself.
You can take a look at the video for the walkthrough demo down below. And while you're at it, have a look at the first screenshots for the game's multiplayer mode, which show off the kind of characters you'll have at your disposal.
