Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition spotted in the wild; coming to Japan this year
Having earned a strong following on both sides of the Pacific since first appearing on the PlayStation 2, SEGA's Yakuza series seems a likely candidate to join the ranks of franchises that have been re-released in HD, and signs have been appearing that suggest that that may very well be the case.
A Japanese SEGA release schedule (found by Andriasang) contained the signs mentioned. Among the games listed was an HD remake of the first two Yakuza titles, entitled Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition. Marked for a PS3 release on December 1 (near the time Yakuza 5 is set to launch in Japan), the game was priced at 5,229 yen (roughly $66).
