Sonic Adventure 2 HD re-release made official by SEGA
While typically associated with comics, movies, and television, San Diego Comic Con is also a pretty good place to bone up on news regarding video games.
It was there that SEGA, during their Sonic Boom event last weekend, announced that, as part of its SEGA Heritage initiative, it will be re-releasing the 2001 classic Sonic Adventure 2 in HD for the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.

This announcement wasn’t something that came out of the blue (get it? Because Sonic is blue…never mind). A good deal of speculation regarding an HD re-release popped up recently due to a listing for one appearing on Xbox.com, making claims of the inclusion of leaderboards, offline multiplayer, and content downloads.
Also listed was a release date of October 3, so we only have to wait until fall to see if all those things (and maybe more) were added to Sonic Adventure 2 HD.
