Next-gen Halo could already be in the works, according to Microsoft job listings
Looks like Microsoft is gearing up to start work on a next-gen Halo title, according to new job listings on the company's careers site. The most recent of these, posted yesterday, is for a graphics developer who can "help create the current and next generation of game visuals in the Halo universe."
The job listing later states that "DirectX11 experience is a plus." This is intriguing, as the Xbox 360 does not support DirectX11, but support for it is a feature that has been oft rumored to be in Microsoft's next console.

Other listings, which have posted within the last two weeks, seek out an environment artist who can "help breathe a fresh vision into a new Halo experience," a game designer who can "spearhead efforts to design the next wave of Halo experiences" and a creative director "to lead and deliver a groundbreaking new AAA entertainment experience set in the Halo universe."
While Microsoft hasn't given official word, it's apparent that it is getting ready to work on more Halo. And considering that 343 Industries has confirmed that Halo 4 is the first of a whole new trilogy of games (as well as rising talk of the next console generation), it's safe to assume that whatever project Microsoft is seeking people for will not be on the Xbox 360.
