OnLive Universal controller to support Nexus 7 shortly
The Nexus 7 is a powerful tablet, with enough kick to run full-on PC games with ease. However, one thing stands in the way of the Nexus excelling in that regard, and that is the lack of a compatible controller.
Enter OnLive. Recently, the cloud gaming company was speaking to GottaBeMobile, when it revealed that it plans to make its Universal Controller compatible with the Nexus 7. “We don’t have support out for it yet,” they said, “but we hope to shortly.”

In doing this, this will allow Nexus 7 owners to take advantage of OnLive’s gaming service, enabling them to play actual PC games (like, say, Batman: Arkham City and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations) that would normally be impossible to play on a tablet.
For the time being, there’s no definitive date for when the OnLive Universal Controller will become compatible with the Nexus. However, GottaBeMobile notes that the controller has actually worked with some games before. So there’s a chance that, if you happen to have a Nexus 7 and a Universal Controller at the ready, you’ll be able to get your gaming fix right now.
