New Assassin’s Creed III novel will reveal the history of Connor

NEWS | ? Comments |

Author: Peter Grimm

When I think of good holiday reading, A Christmas Carol usually comes to mind. It’s befitting the season and has absolutely nothing to do with assassins. Ubisoft apparently disagrees and thinks that the holiday season is the perfect time for people to get their literary kicks with that elite class.

Recently, Ubisoft announced a new novel based on Assassin’s Creed III, which will reveal the backstory of the game’s main character, Connor. Written by Oliver Bowden (author of previous AC novels such as Renaissance and The Secret Crusade) this latest story will be called Assassin’s Creed: Forsaken.

Assassin's Creed III novel (Ubisoft)

An Ubisoft press release describes the novel as so: "Set during the American Revolution, Connor has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation and unleashes his powerful skills on the chaotic, blood-soaked battlefields of the hostile American wilderness. Assassin's Creed: Forsaken is the story behind who Connor really is and how he has become a deadly killer. The world of the Assassins has become far more lethal than ever before."

But the question remains: when will Forsaken be released? December 4 is the date, and $9.99 is the price. And if it’s anything like the other Assassin’s Creed novels (which, together, have sold over 380,000 copies), then it should do just fine.
