Riot Games wrests control of LeagueOfLegends.co from porn site cybersquatter
Riot Games has had to put up with a lot this summer. Back in June, someone hacked into a few of the databases for its hit PC game League of Legends, illegally accessing very personal info from a small number of users.
Most recently, it was discovered that Riot had won a lawsuit it had filed against the owner of the domain LeagueofLegends.co (notice how it's "co", not "com"), a domain which led users not to anything related to Riot's League of Legends, but to a Colombian porn site.
Need more be said? It practically writes its own joke.

It's possible that, in other cases, this may have been overlooked. But when you consider that LeagueofLegends.com ("com", not "co") is among the top 1,500 most-visited websites in the world, it's likely that a lot of users made the typo and ended up staring at… I'm going to stop this sentence right now.
That won't be the case anymore. As things currently stand, Riot now owns LeagueofLegends.co, as evidenced by the Whois records for the domain showing the company as such. Try to type in the URL now and you will end up not at a site filled with nakedness, but a small page filled with ads links, none of which lead to other porn sites.
