Gears of War: Judgment's Free-For-All mode and Limited Folio Edition announced
Get ready to throw teamwork and all sense of camaraderie and cooperation out the door. A brand new multiplayer mode is coming to the Gears of War series, debuting in the upcoming GoW: Judgment. And that mode is called… Free-For-All, which, as you can expect, pits everyone against everyone in a frantic battle where one can only rely on oneself to survive and come out on top.
The new mode was announced by Epic Games, who added to it with the unveiling of two new multiplayer maps: Gondola and Library (check out the first source link below for more info on them). In addition, it was announced that the Free-For-All mode will be playable this week at the PAX Prime in event in Seattle (you find it at booth #412).
Free-For-All is the second new mode announced for Judgment's multiplayer, joining OverRun, where players engage in a class-based, head-to-head battle between Locust and COG soldiers.
But wait, that's not all the GoW goodness announced recently. Along with the news for Judgment, Epic revealed that a special edition of The Art of Gears of War 3 art book is now available for the (select) masses.
This edition, the Limited Folio Edition, is, in fact, limited to only 300 copies, but comes with plenty of bells and whistles, such as a special cover with embossed titles, a hand-crafted presentation case which comes with a ribbon for easy placement or removal of the book from the box, and an exclusive metal-carved cover ornament. Not to mention over 300 pages of art from all stages of GoW 3's development.
Look for Gears of War: Judgment on March 19, 2013.
