Borderlands 2 will get DLC outside of Season Pass program; PS Vita release 'a real possibility'
In a live interview with Kotaku, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed that non-Season Pass DLC for Borderlands 2 is in the works. Also, it appears the widely-reported PlayStation Vita version could in fact become a reality.
"We will have other, non-season pass related DLC," said Pitchford. "The additional character (the Mechromancer) is one kind of example."

"We created the ability in Borderlands 2 to add additional characters because we want to use that ability. The Mechromancer is the first one. I hope to do more. The success of the Mechromancer will help to define this. Our ambition and passion and our fans' requests will also contribute to decision making about what we do," noted Pitchford in response to fan questions.
As far Borderlands 2 for PS Vita is concerned, Pitchford simply, yet unequivocally stated "I think there's a real possibility."
