Dead Island: Riptide North American and worldwide release dates and official box art

Grand Theft Auto V isn't the only big Spring 2013 release that was announced today. This morning, Deep Silver confirmed that Dead Island Riptide, the sequel to last year's high-selling zombocalyptic action title, will be released on April 23, 2013 in the US and Canada, and on April 26 worldwide

(You know, it's a pity my brother, whose birthday is on April 23, isn't into zombie games. That'd make an excellent birthday present. But I digress).

The box art for the game was also unveiled. Take a look:

Along with the release dates and box art, Deep Silver announced that Riptide is now available for pre-order in two editions: the Pre-Order Edition, which includes an exclusive pack of weapon mods for even more varied zombie-bashing, and the Special Retailers Edition, which sports the weapon mods as well as an exclusive alternate character skin and box art (it will only be available at select retailers, however).

Excited for Dead Island Riptide? Plan on pre-ordering it? Feel free to let us know.
