The One Video Game We'd Choose to Play on a Deserted Island
Imagine the world as you know it has ended, at least for you. You're stuck in a deserted island, with no hopes of ever going back to civilization, no Internet connection, no friends... I know, pretty misserable, but hey, you get to choose a video game, one that'll keep you entertained for hours on end... And you know what? Somehow the game console works, but you only have that one game to play. Which one would you pick? What video game would you take with you to a deserted island?

Here at GameDynamo we tried to answer that question the best we could, so read on and see what you think. Allow me to get started....
Maria Montoro - Mario Kart Wii
With 2012 nearly gone (phew!), I don't like to picture myself in apocalyptic situations. Staying on an island for the rest of my days wouldn't be all that great, unless the world is going all Walking Dead on us and there isn't a safer option. But then again, if I get to keep a game with me, maybe it won't be all that bad.
Even without online play, I would choose, hands down, Mario Kart Wii. It's the one game I can imagine playing for a long time without getting utterly bored. I'd try to master the game with different characters and different speeds. I'd play coin and balloon battles, explore every nook 'n cranny in the game, become the "queen" of Rainbow Road... maybe then I would actually excel at Mario Kart. It's something I've been fighting with for a long time. I love the game and I'm pretty decent at it, but not great. Maybe some day...

JC Marx - Civilization III, IV, or V
Setting your sights on just one game to bring with you to a deserted island is a tall order. For me, three genres jump out: tactics, strategy, and FPS.
Since I don’t have an Internet connection, Call of Duty: Black Ops is out. While I love tactical RPGs, story is a big part of the experience, so Final Fantasy Tactics gets left behind, too. When all is said and done, longevity is key. As such, I would have to settle on a game from Sid Meier’s Civilization series. I’m leading toward Civ3, but Civilization IV or V would do in a pinch!
