PlayStation Plus comes to PS Vita next week along with free games and system software update v2.00
Sony Computer Entertainment made a most excellent announcement this morning: PlayStation Plus is coming to PS Vita on November 19 in North America and on November 21 in Europe.

In North America, PS Plus subscribers will get access to five free games including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, WipEout 2048, Jet Set Radio HD, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Atack!!!.
In Europe, only four games will be made available in the PS Vita's Instant Game Collection. Like North American Sony gamers, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Atack!!! will all be available, but FF Tactics and JSR HD have been bumped for Chronovolt (pictured below), which is a brand new 3D puzzle platformer.
While our European friends seem to be getting somewhat short shrifted on the free games, they will be getting a 20% discount on a bunch of other games during the first week of the new service. Here's a list of the games being offered:
-
Escape Plan
-
Unit 13
-
Hustle Kings
-
MotorStorm RC
-
Super Stardust Delta and Advanced Star Fighter Pack Bundle
-
Top Darts
-
Little Deviants
-
Modnation Racers: Road Trip
-
Reality Fighters
Finally, free games are only part of the equation. The PlayStation Vita will also be updated with a few new features thanks to the November 20 release of the PS Vita system software update v2.00.
According to SCEA's Don Mesa, new features we can look forward to with the system software update include "an email app, the ability to transfer content wirelessly between your PS Vita and PC, and enhancements to the web browser."
Below we've embedded the PS Vita system software update v2.00 video walkthrough for you to give you a better idea of what's in store.
