Call of Duty: Black Ops II Presentation in Madrid, Spain - Event Highlights
On November 12th, Activision and Treyarch invited us to an exciting event under the starry sky of Madrid, at a former industrial area where they hosted the official presentation of their latest title to the media. We're talking about the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
At this event we enjoyed a number of activities, as well as participated in a major contest where the three winners would take home the "Care Package" limited edition of the game, which includes one of the radio-controlled drones that we were able to test at the event and will control in the game. As always, Activision took care of even the smallest details in their annual Call of Duty event.
The spokeswoman Tania Llasera told us all the details about the coveted first-person shooter, such as the variety of characters you will control throughout the story mode and the different locations and time periods the plot will cover.
Later we played all game modes included in the title, but we missed the chance to try the PlayStation Vita version, which I will review soon, or the unique Wii U version.
After our hands-on time with Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Criss Cowell, lead sound designer of the game, told us how pleasant his experience had been working on Call of Duty: Black Ops II, adding his artistic flair to the spectacular setting and a soundtrack worthy of any blockbuster action movie.
We also had the honor to meet a special guest, the famous Spanish actor Jordi Mollá, known for major roles in films like Blow and Bad Boys 2. He did the voice-over work for Raul Menendez, the villain of the story, in the Spanish version.
Jordi Mollá told us how extremely difficult it was for him to give life to the character and present the audience a Raúl Menéndez who's convinced of the validity of his evil plans, and justify their actions.
Just before the end of the event, a horde of zombies burst into the room scaring bystanders much like they would in the game's zombie mode.
It was certainly a great event, and it could not have been otherwise for a grand game like Call Of Duty: Black Ops II.
