Square Enix today confirmed that Final Fantasy IV will join Final Fantasy, FFII, and FFIII on iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch starting December 20, 2012 in celebration of the series' 25th anniversary.

Final Fantasy IV heads to iOS devices on December 20

According to a Game Informer report, this is a port of the remastered Nintendo DS version that released back in July of 2008. Currently, that cart retails for $19.99 stateside, so expect a similar, somewhat reduced price for FFIV on the iTunes App Store. After all, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions sells for $15.99, Final Fantasy III costs $9.99, and Final Fantasy is just $3.99.
