Naughty Dog reveals the release date for The Last of Us; drops story trailer and pre-order bonus info
There was big news for those awaiting the release of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic action-title The Last of Us during Friday’s Spike Video Game Awards. Along with a brand new trailer (posted below), the release date for the game has been given the official release date of May 7, 2013.
But that’s not all. Over the weekend, even more TLOU-related reveals were made, such as the pre-order incentives awaiting those who pay up early, as well as the game’s cover art. Have a look:
Two pre-order bonus packs have been announced. The first, the Sights and Sounds Pack, will go to anyone who pre-orders the game and gives them TLOU’s official soundtrack, a PS3 theme featuring off the cover art, and two winter-themed PSN avatars based off the characters Joel and Ellie. The Survival pack, meanwhile, will give special multiplayer perks, customizable character items, and bonus skins to those who pre-order at GameStop.
Excited? If not, perhaps the new trailer for The Last of Us, which provides a new look into the story, will change your mind. Fair warning, it’s got violence.
