Three new Halo 4 Spartan Ops Episodes scheduled for January and February release
343 Industries announced that Spartan Ops will be back later this month, going into further detail about what Halo 4 fans can look forward to in January and beyond.
According to 343, the co-op campaign is scheduled to resume on January 21 with Episode 6, which will come with five new missions and a new CG cinematic. Unlocks for the Pioneer and Pathfinder specializations will accompany the new episode, along with a new "Forge Test" playlist that rotates around smaller Forge maps like Relay.
Coming January 28, Episodes 7 will provide a new Grifball-centered playlist and unlocks for the Engineer and Stalker specializations. Then, on February 4, comes Episode 8, which will bring a playlist for maps dedicated to Team Doubles matches and unlocks for Rogue and Tracker specializations. 343 states that two more currently-undated episodes will follow and conclude the first season of Spartan Ops (emphasis on the word "first").
During the release of Spartan Ops, 343 will resume regular Matchmaking updates, bringing with them potential February playlists that include both FFA and a "new and improved version of Team Snipers." 343 also states that both a Title Update and the Majestic Map Pack will be released in February.
