Warner Bros. registers 15 new Batman domain names including Arkham Universe
Warner Bros. is up to something involving the Batman universe. Specifically, they've been registering a laundry list of domain names which appear related to the "Arkham Asylum / Arkham City" series of titles. Granted, their name isn't directly attached to any of the domains (it's hidden behind "MarkMonitor", a brand protection company which is known to have Warner Bros. as a customer), but let's be honest, who else would be registering the domains?
At this point, these registrations could have one of three possibilities attached. The first, least attractive one is that WB isn't going to actually do anything with any of the domains; they're simply registering them to protect their intellectual property, and then plan to sit on them once they're registered. A second option is that they've got a new Batman game in the works. Last, but certainly not least, the domains could be related to the rumored Batman 2016 movie reboot, which is reportedly based on the Arkham Asylum universe.
All speculation, of course, so we won't really know anything until WB makes some sort of official announcement. The full list of domains is below.
