Want more Borderlands 2? You got it. 2K Games and Gearbox announced today's release of the next add-on for the award-winning shooter, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. Today, gamers around the world can fork over around $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points (unless you already bought it as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass) can sally forth on a new adventure through Pandora.

For those who don't know, the third DLC campaign for Borderlands 2 takes you to the swampy region of Aegrus, where a hunting trip with Sir Hammerlock quickly go sour thanks to a Hyperion scientist, killer creatures, and plenty of unsavory folks. There is danger at every turn, but so is new loot to collect and new quests to take on as you and your friends hunt down the scum of Aegrus.

Oh, and you can strap a flamethrower to a new fan boat vehicle and torch things, so there's that too.

"2K prides itself on publishing high-quality, high-value games, and Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt lives up to those standards," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "The team continues to do a brilliant job extending the Borderlands experience, and the Season Pass allows our fans to enjoy that content at a great value."

Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is the third of four DLC campaigns that Gearbox is working on for Borderlands 2, with the fourth and final add-on arriving by June. Circling back to the Big Game Hunt DLC, you can get a taste of what's now available via the trailer below.
