Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon may feature some kind of multiplayer mode
Looks like Luigi may not have to go busting ghosts by himself in his next outing. This weekend past, it was discovered on the official website for Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon that the upcoming 3DS title will support some sort of local multiplayer.
"With so many new places to explore, all new ways to capture ghosts, and a brand new local multiplayer mode, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is another star turn for Mario's heroic brother,” read the telling snippet on the game’s site, which, strangely enough, still listed the number of players as “1”.
The snippet regarding multiplayer has since been removed from the site, which may mean that that little bit of information wasn’t supposed to be released yet. More mysterious, though, is the question of what kind of multiplayer the site was alluding to. Will it be a competitive or co-op mode? And will there even be a multiplayer mode, in light of Nintendo pulling all mention of it from the site?
The answers to these biting questions should come as we approach the March 24 release of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
