Microsoft files patent application for 'Gunpowder' trademark
"Gunpowder." This is the trademark that Microsoft has filed an application for with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (or the less wordy "USPTO"), GameSpot reports. The application was filed last week on January 15, and it notes that it will be used for "entertainment services, namely, providing online video games."
As for what Microsoft could have in mind for "Gunpowder", it's not immediately clear. Aside from the mentioning of online games, it could really be for anything, though the natural assumption (at least for me) is that the trademark will have something to do with some sort of shooter. Perhaps a western-style shooter (think Red Dead Redemption), but again, that's just me.
Have any ideas as to what Microsoft could be planning to use the "Gunpowder" trademark for? Feel free to let us know, readers.
