Blizzard acknowledges that Diablo III 'needs to be a better game'
I'll admit it–my review of Diablo III was a shining one, in spite of the horrific DRM with which Blizzard saddled its game. It's because it was fun, at first (at least, that's what I keep telling myself). After a time, though, it just got... bland. Blizzard's poor handling of the compromised accounts didn't help matters, either.
Today, in an official fix-list thread on the Diablo III Forums, Blizzard made it known that it's aware of the issues with its game. Community Manager Vaneras, in response to another user, said "we stated several times right from the start that Diablo III is its own game, that we never intended for it to be an HD version of Diablo II. We acknowledge that Diablo III needs to be a better game, and we intend to make it so, but you shouldn't ever expect it to be turned into Diablo II."
So, there you have it. Fans have submitted a number of suggestions to Blizzard as to how the developer might be able to improve its title, such as better itemization, PVP, skill trees and attributes, and less mouthy antagonists.
What do you folks think?
