Retail shipments of Fire Emblem: Awakening reported to be delayed
I hope you haven’t been too excited for picking up your copy of Fire Emblem: Awakening. Though today may be the game’s official day of launch, many of the biggest retailers around are surprisingly undersupplied.
According to Game Informer, Amazon has warned that a “potential shipping delay” could push the delivery of pre-ordered copies of Awakening back to February 8. Meanwhile, Best Buy and GameStop stores are also suffering from a lack of Fire Emblem, with both chains listing the game as unavailable online.
So when it is likely to arrive? Game Informer, having spoken with both, says Best Buy will have the game available by February 8, while GameStop expects availability by February 6. Nintendo has been contacted for further clarification on the matter, and should they reply, we’ll let you know.
If waiting a few more days is a few days too many for you, and you don’t care if you have a physical or digital copy of the game, you can check out the 3DS eShop, where Fire Emblem: Awakening launched this morning without any problem.
