Dead Space 3 may have launched today, but Visceral Games is wasting no time in revealing the existence of the content it will soon be adding to the sci-fi horror within the disc available now.

In celebration of the game’s launch, Visceral announced the Dead Space 3 Awakened pack. The DLC will make its premiere sometime next month on the PlayStation Network and Origin for $9.99 and on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points. Visceral did not go into detail regarding the type of content in the Awakened pack, but said that it will contain “the franchise’s darkest chapters”, with Necromorph battles “even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before.”

“In Dead Space 3 Awakened, gamers will experience some of the most disturbing content they have ever seen in a Dead Space game – they are going to love it.” said Steve Papoutsis, VP and General Manager of Visceral Games.”
